we don’t see
ourselves until
we think of the past
and see everything
we’ve done so foolishly.
so, that’s how regret
lasts beyond a thought after
and lives in today, when we
obviously have more to worry about
but would rather spend time
remembering just to apologize
than learning from and growing up?
